Turned Burl
Just turned my first burl. It's pine and only 3" across but Man is it cool! Used shellac and the graining is great. I recommend burl to anyone who enjoys turning wood.

Verticle Holding Pin
Why is the pin that holds the headstock in the drill press mode, off-set to the indention in the body? I know it holds well, but this just defies rhymn and reason that the pin does not go into the formed indent.

Centering the "Worm Screw".
I have had difficulty centering the worm screw in my Nova G3. It took many tries to get it on plane. Is there a trick to getting it flush/centered the first time or is it practice, practice, practice?

Bandsaw Table connector and Rip Fence
Ran into something new to me. I was cutting small pieces of different sizes on the bandsaw along w/ the rip fence. Kept having to readjust the tension knob on the fence and the left/right set screws several times. The fence just wouldn't stay parallel to the blade. I realized that the nob that holds...

Bandsaw Miter Slot
Why isn't there a miter slot on the left side of the bandsaw table?
This would give you more stability and room for your work.

Re: Urethane bandsaw tires split at weld while installing
Had a very old set that split while putting them on. I wrote it off to being old, shop heat and storage. The new pair is doing fine. Tried replacing tires both w/ wheel on and off. Either way is easy. Tried hot water as well as stretching the tire before mounting. Either way is fine. This is not a h...
