I'm not sure what you mean by "have they taken a "set"?" but I thought I had already tensioned the belts according to the instructions but I'll have a look again. They appear to be in great shape but for the cost of new belts I'll look at replacing them.

I recently purchased a used Shopsmith V that is in great shape and from what I can see has all of the original equipment and attachments, with the exception of the lathe faceplates. I see the Shopsmith original parts attach to the spindle with a setscrew but I'm wondering if there is any sort of ad...
