Re: How to Resolve a RPS State Error 0

Yes their service has gone way downhill. My Power pro just went out of warrantee, but during the warrantee I had this RPS State Error 0 issue 4 times. Each time was told how to "fix" it by blowing it out. Each time I had to take it all the way down to the sensor, re-assemble it (2 or 3 tim...

Power Pro Headstock disassemble & Reassemle

I purchased a new power pro headstock and kept my old one as a spare. The digital control panel came off and is held in place by two 'wood screws'. In order to secure it, or replace the screws with longer ones, you have to take the guts out of the headstock. Does anyone know where I can get online d...

Re: Are you a powerpro owner?

I bought a 510 in '88 and upgraded to the 520. I fixed my broken 520 headstock and keep it for a spare. Bought a new power pro headstock in April or so. The quill feed mechanism/depth collar was not installed correctly. ShopSmith walked me through fixing it, then gave me some free dust collector bag...

Re: New PowerPro Issues

I have a 510 headstock that had a few broken pork chop pieces. I ordered the parts to fix it, so I'd have it as a spare, then ordered a complete Power pro headstock. I really like it. Be very careful that you don't try to nudge the headstock by pushing on the Control Panel. It came off in my hand. T...

Re: The First Shopsmith

This is a great help. Because I didn't see the number 10 in the model, I thought it was earlier than the 10er. I bought my 1st ShopSmith in 1988 for $1,999. It has been upgraded to the 520 table system, and the new digital motor.

Re: The First Shopsmith

I thought that because no where did it mention the number 10. Thanks for the history and the manual tips.

Re: The First Shopsmith

I think I have come across a SS that was before the 10E and 10ER. It was given to me by a friend who's grandfather had it. It says simply "Model ER Serial number ER22221" Looks like it came with a wooden stand (or it came with none and someone built it) It runs, but I'm going to restore it...
