Very good, you would think at 61 I would be more patient. I have owned my own business for 30 plus years. Maybe it is me but it seems that it is more and more difficult to get simple matters taken care of. Thanks for the great response it put a smile on my face.

Sheave clip
Short ring
Ring retaining

Thank you for link. I use an IPad and it is a pain. I still don't see a bearing, I guess the reference was the one that supports the shaft through the housing. Picture didn't work, too big....Yada yada, I give up. Will see what comes in the mail. Replacement for the clip seems straight forward ...

I called Shopsmith and I will say the reception was less than I expected. For some reason the parts schematic is hidden on their website. Bill, I found out what it is, the binding noise. I looked inside of the machine. The lower shaft has a clip of some sorts on it that is broken. Not sure where to go from here. I guess the whole assembly will have to be pulled out, bottom shaft that is. I am still looking for a parts breakdown in the ...
