Didn't realize it has the metal input roller and that is what is making the marks. I hadn't taken that cover off and I was barely planing the wood. If I take more off at a time it doesn't leave those makes. Guess if I want to plane that fine I will have to lighten the pressure on the input roller? T...

Thanks everyone. I'll post back what I figure out with the rollers. Probably going to be a day or so before I can get back to it.

I'm going to try cleaning the feed rollers and see if that makes a difference. Don't see any nicks on any of the blades and like I said the marks are across the board not the length of it. Will post when I figure it out. Thanks for the help.

I tried at different speeds and it is still there. The lines are perpendicular to the board and not the length of the board which is what would happen on my old planer when I had a nicked blade. I thought maybe lines from the feed rollers in the softer would but was wondering if anyone had seen this...

Have lines in planed board

After planing a soft spruce board on my SS pro planer I have a series of very small lines on the board. Can anyone tell me what might cause this? It's a used planer I purchased. I don't notice them on harder wood.
