Re: 10 minutes to polish oxidized tubes.
I saw those as well but was not sure it would fit my angle grinder. I also figured for the few extra dollars I would have a dedicated machine rather then having to remove the guard on my grinder to switch from angle grinder to tubing sander all the time. But the one you found would work just as well ...

10 minutes to polish oxidized tubes.
With the Covid-19 pandemic and the stay at home mandate I decided to do a little long overdue maintenance on my 510.
The bench and way tubes oxidized quite a bit and needed some TLC. I wanted to see if there was a better and quicker way to polish the tubes and after doing a little searching I came ...

Re: 510 Pro fence upgrade
Thank you all for your input. Looks like I will be ordering the 520 upgrade. I would like to also eventually get the Power Pro head stock, but right now it's not in the budget. The 510 Headstock is OK for the work I do but I will eventually upgrade as well.

510 Pro fence upgrade
I'm thinking about pulling the trigger and upgrading my 510 to the 520 Pro fence upgrade.
I would appreciate anyone's experience or opinion on whether it is worth spending the dollars on the upgrade pro's and con's?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks to all.

Re: Dimensions for Kreg bandsaw fence front rail
I realize this is an old post but I did have a question. Is the Kreg fence for SS still available as I could not find it on their website.
Any information would be really appreciated.

Re: Rear table support brackets-
I agree, however from what I have been told so far the support brackets are a different design and that apparently is where the problem is, no one seems to know if the newer design will work with my table.

Rear table support brackets-
I have a Mdl: 510 which I purchased many years ago, I think it was mid to late 90’s if memory serves me correctly. At that time I also purchased the accessory rear table, unfortunately one of the brackets broke. I sent an email to SS on August 26th to see if a replacement was available, a week later ...

Oxidation
I had my Model 510 in storage for a number of years and recently took it out of moth balls because I finally have a new workshop to put it in. Unfortunately the table tops, way tubes and bench tubes have oxidized somewhat, not terribly bad but enough to make sliding the headstock difficult.

Caster upgrade
I recently ordered a set of the polyurethane casters for my 510 and was wondering if anyone knows how much the new casters lift the unit in the first position and second position?
Any info would be appreciated.
