Try evaporust, then Johnsons paste wax. Ok great thank you This stuff is great, I've used that on some nasty rusty junk and it was amazing how well it worked. It seems to work better to me if you can submerge the part in it, kind of hard to do that with those tubes. Can always soak some paper towel...

Im not sure how bad yours is, but i've had good luck with WD-40 and, depending on how bad it is...(in order of fine-coarse) fine bronze wool pads, maroon 3m scotchbrite, and green scotchbrite. I prefer to not use any abrasives but thats not always an option. I've used the bronze wool on anodized alu...
