Re: New Owner to 2 Shopsmiths

If you have a face plate it is easy to make a sanding disc. I have one that I made from old counter top (plastic top) attached to the face plate with screws. I then used rolled (6") strips glued to counter top. Works well when I flatten one side of segmented rings.

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'

Saw this on local freecycle. I have no room.
Sawsmith radial arm saw. Needs a new “On/off switch. Works great otherwise. Cleaning out my shop.

Re: Are these shopsmith?

Jpg,
I don't remember how my Dad came by these, or why since we never had spt connections. They are at least 70 yrs old so your hunch of early version is probably right on.... :-)

Re: Are these shopsmith?

Russ I have no spt attachments to try these on, I am not sure at what point they came into my possession, could be up to 70 yrs.
Ed the length of one section is 1.748 making the total 3.3416 and the measurements are in inches. Anybody have a use for them just pay shipping.

Are these shopsmith?

I have had these for a long time and never knew what they were for. I don't think they are SS.
Diameter 1.234, one section 1.748, Hole .875, offset .231. They may be slightly off that size.

Re: Unused jointer

Sorry I posted this same jointer in 2018 and sold some of the parts at that time. I have the base and two tubes that the jointer is currently sitting on that could be used to make it free standing. Since I have never used or set up, that is about all I can tell you. I have no idea how it attaches ot...

Re: Unused jointer

Russ thanks for updated info. I sure hope someone is interested. I don't want to post it locally for fear someone would take it for scrap.
Thanks,
