Ok, what you guys are saying makes a lot of sense. I ordered the shopsmith pulley upgrade, and it should be here in the next week or so hopefully. After doing just a bit of shopping, it didn't appear that buying from a 3rd party would be any cheaper, and I know the SS will fit.

Russ - I didn't think you didn't believe me, just posted the extra pictures in case they had other info I hadn't thought to share.
The motor pulley on there now is exactly the same as the one in the picture above. Although the motor shaft does have a keyway, and it is keyed. Maybe whoever had it ...

Wow - Thanks for the answers guys.
So my followup question would be this. Can I get the pulleys from shopsmith? Happy to pay the $40 for 2 pulleys and a new belt, but it's unclear to me if those will work, given that the shaft is unkeyed.
Or, do I need to get a 3 and 5 inch standard motor pulley ...
