Re: 510 Blade Angle alignment

Dusty.
While looking at the pic showing the adjustable collar I saw what looks like a crafted mental piece held in place by two wing nuts.
Is that something you have created to help control dust or is it something S/S sells I don't know about?

Re: 510 Blade Angle alignment

Thank You for your input; I suspect I could use a little more patience.
I think the adjustable collar and angle gauge will help too.
I appreciate the multiple ideas.

Re: Power Pro headstock cooling

Hi, I ran your problem past a friend who knows a lot about electric motors and he said " If you cant leave your hand on the motor for more than 5 seconds it is hotter than 120 degrees". If that's where you are we thought you may try installing a computer exhaust fan in the side of the shro...

Re: 510 Blade Angle alignment

Dusty,
Thanks for the response.
I'll try your idea since I don't like the results I'm getting using the S/S way. I find it to be inaccurate ( or maybe difficult to get a final adjustment) would be more succinct.

510 Blade Angle alignment

Has anyone created a better way of setting the blade 90 degrees to the saw table than the one described on B-26 and B-27 of the S/S manual? I have a 510 which was new in 1998 and converted to a 520 later. I find the old S/S explanation in the manual cumbersome and not too reliable. BTW I have found ...

Re: Power Pro headstock cooling

:) I'm going to research this issue and post a report after I find an answer worth posting.
I do know over heating is sometimes an issue with all electrical motors.
