Re: Jointer fence doesn't lock in place

I too had the same issue. I had sent the jointer in for repair and when it was returned, the fence was not attached. I slid it back on, but it was loose. Turning the red handle adjusted the tilt but still loose. This forum is fantastic - you explained the dual-purpose handle (which I could not find ...

Re: Model 7 Lubrication

Thanks - I looked at the two areas and could not see an obvious place to do so (unlike the shieves on the 5). Did not want to mess up a pricy investment. They never seem to wear out - mine is a 1984 model and as good as the day my father bought it.

Re: Safe to Rip From Both Ends?

I had a similar issue recently (a board 57" long and ripping one inch off a 2x4). I ran it halfway, held it down, walked around to the out feed side and pulled it through. It seemed to work OK, but I did not have a cantilever issue.

I put in prosilver and that works.

Re: How to jump to a specific page

5 pages at a time but then it goes to 2 at a time - that is what I have been doing but to go to page 60 takes a lot of clicks (time away from the shop..... :)

How to jump to a specific page

I am not sure who to address this to, but how do I go to a specific page in a certain section? I am up to page 51 in beginning woodworking, but if I close the page and go back in, I am at page 1. If I put 51 in the 'go to' box, it just sits there, and I have to scroll through every page to get to 51...

Re: Lowes Demonstration

It is so CLEAN...mine is a 1984 (upgraded to Mark 7) but does not look near that nice.

But, who cares? It gets waxed and cleaned frequently so still a workhorse.
