Re: Wood shop fashion

The wife got me one of these aprons a while back https://www.amazon.com/Waxed-Canvas-Heavy-Pockets-Adjustable/dp/B071P9LM7P/ref=sr_1_15?dchild=1&keywords=shop+apron&qid=1586272556&sr=8-15 I's been nice to have a small square, the dust collector remote, and a pencil on hand at all times. ...

Re: Need Suggestions on making a display item

Hey Berry! So it looks like from my messing around anyway - that logo would be about 33"x33" square, and the "F" would end up being roughly 26" by 24" wide. So my scaling and yours seem to line up. It might be interesting to make a ~2.5 dowel that you can use to make th...

Re: Dad's Retirement Gift

t please please do be SAFE everyone. Thank you and Whole heartedly agree!!! Going into that particular piece was my most concern, and I jumped over to the flapdisks for rough sanding ASAP. As with almost all wood tools, they are INHERENTLY dangerous - and we can only try and mitigate where possible...

Re: Dad's Retirement Gift

Ha - Lots of sanding! I think I spent about 7 hours or so doing it, and I only know that because I was an hour short of finishing the audiobook I had going at the time LOL And @algale Both. I took a flag photo, and did a rough shadow/highlight map like this... $matches[2] I placed a transparent vers...

Re: Dad's Retirement Gift

Thanks all! And no sweat@stew - I followed flag code for my dimensions off of a 32" wide flag - which roughly lent it to being 17" tall. And @RFGuy Definitely true -My belt is fraying a bit which I need to get around to fixing for sure - I had an assortment of blades that I think are just ...

Re: The wisdom of the masses

That's awesome! Adapt and overcome as they say. I've been getting the itch to strip and paint mine as well, but not sure it's as much a priority getting it all in working order first. Regardless, I dream lol. Have you decided what paint type you're going with? I've seen the hammered Rust-Oleum posts...

Saw Guard Confusion

Good Evening all! I've tried to locate good instructions on how to install a saw guard on the 500... but I cannot for the life of me make out what hodge-podge mix of parts I'm looking at. Is there a install PDF for the Model 500 Clear Saw Guard System Upgrade (505875)? Sorry if it's in the google dr...
