Re: Zeroplay Guide Bar System

Mine also did not work well, I sanded the sides down a little trying to get them to fit, but I have spent more time trying to get them to work right than just making my own in the first place would have been.

Re: And Another Successful Bookmatch from the SS Bandsaw

Very nice Chris. I have been meaning to get into book matching and box making. Currently, I have just been making bandsaw boxes. Just purchased a slew of blades to experiment with. I also work with relatively small pieces, so I bought a 6" drum sander via Byrne's Model Machines. I am hoping thi...

Re: Parts inquiry

SPT coupler? I have only used Shopsmith brand but there are aftermarket versions available if you have problems getting through to Shopsmith. Might get you by until your OEM versions arrive.

Re: Broken Lever Lock - 520 fence

I purchased a used 520 with the same issue. Basically a brittle cast. Got replacement part from Shopsmith, no problems. At one of the demonstrations, Mike mentioned that it may be adjusted too tight. Did not make any adjustments on mine, both are 'snug'. Might need to order a roll pin and get a punc...

Re: Old Bandsaw cover Modification for Dust Collection

I bought this kit and it came with a useful template. The hole I cut was not pretty (first time for me using a jigsaw) but it's functional and is covered up when the port gets attached.

Re: WTH is going on with ShopSmith (the company)?

Just curious. What do you have on order? Have you received an email confirmation of the order? A hat and shirt that they have had on no less than 3 or 4 e-mail specials since my order, a filter hood which is listed in the catalog, conical sanding disc and package from the catalog, table saw blade i...

Re: WTH is going on with ShopSmith (the company)?

I'm not sure what's going on, but I have been told for 2 weeks that everything on my order from 2 months ago (during the free shipping special...) is in stock and ready to ship. First, I was told everything was in and that it would ship "in a few days". After "a few days" and no ...

Re: Bandsaw Overhaul

Thank you for the answers and extra information. I did not have much grease that wasn't all dried out available, so I used what I had and it worked its way in, but I think I need a little more. Nothing appears seized up, they appear to roll, but still got a bit of noise. I have a couple more questio...

Re: Power Pro Power Supply

It's coming from the power supply for the PowerPro. If there was some insulation or ferrites or something to add maybe that would help, I don't know. But it is coming from the power supply. Doesn't appear to affect the performance as far as I can tell so far, but I have not put it through the ringer...
