Re: This feels akward/unsafe-suggestions
Alright- I finished the Triframe to the best of my ability. New jig was instrumental in getting those 3/8" slabs from the 2x4.
Some pics-sorry for poor focus on some.

Re: This feels akward/unsafe-suggestions
It worked well, here is some frame stock I started with.
Upon review-I think more important than the jig design was the idea of having the narrow part of the cut next to the fence. This reduces the tendency
for the piece to draw away from the fence.

Re: This feels akward/unsafe-suggestions
Here is the approach I am going for. Kind of a Frankenstein of the various jigs shown on this thread.
It uses a fence-straddler approach with top mounted handle. The straddler is 3/4 ply.
The hold down for the front of the board is a printed t-slot adapter using components I had laying about ...

Re: This feels akward/unsafe-suggestions
Larry-
Thanks. I'll be doing multiple 3/8s..slowly shortening the width of that 2x4...so I do prefer (as you said) to keep the fence/blade gap the same.

Re: This feels akward/unsafe-suggestions
I appreciate everyones input here,
Oh i like that thing strip jig video...gives me some new avenues to think along.
Algale-I agree, bandsaw is easiest/safest for such things...though at least my current blades would require planing/sanding post cutting.

Re: This feels akward/unsafe-suggestions
Yea- tried Scotts approach awhile back, still wasn't fully satisfied with it. I should go look at that again for this cut-i still have the jig somewhere.
Gripper-I have one, but I find that many times, it cannot be adjusted to work for a particular cut for various reasons.

Re: This feels akward/unsafe-suggestions
Thanks Dennis - so maybe I'm not going crazy .. you explained it very nicely what i feel (yaw) that worries me.
I do have a push stick like this , from some set i bought, but this thing feels even less certain on this type of cut. It just doesnt make solid contact/grip to the board .
