Hi Ed I bought dewalt version of these and the problem with the dewalt are the power button breaks after a few months of use. So I have been weary about buying these to try. I know that the dewalt are not as high tech as those.

After three months I would like to now if the power button has failed.

I know I’m late to this. I bought two set when they where on sale so I could do both infeed and outfeed at the same time. I would say go with the Mark V (5). The 10 was the first model, then the 5 was the second model witch is still be made today. You can order a miter bar from Shopsmith and just swap the bars. Or you could watch eBay and pick up a use Shopsmith miter bar.

I have been thinking about getting one. I also been watching eBay & Facebook market place to see if somebody parting with of Shopsmith versions.
