Re: Bearing Supplier
$30 each for Drive Sheave Assembly bearings isn’t terrible, depending on the size and brand. MSC tends to be on the pricier side, though. I usually check local suppliers or online places like Motion Industries, Grainger, or even Amazon for common bearings. If you’re not in a rush, eBay sometimes has...

Re: Can a 12" Planer w/o feed motor be converted to manual feed?
I hate to have to revive this thread, but I find myself in need of a replacement brush housing for a Shopsmith Mark-mount 12" planer feed motor. The brush shouldn't be a challenge, but one of the housings and cap are trash. Has anyone confirmed a source? Thanks, Scott Search the forum Scott. T...

Re: Belt Sander Tensioner Issue
Seems like it could be the tension knob’s locking mechanism is stripped or just not securing as it should. You might want to make sure you clean it sometimes dust or debris entering the locker may affect the locking process. If the above tips will not do the trick you may have to change the knob or ...

Re: Packing & Moving a Shopsmith
I am also looking to move now the Shopsmith. Will the moving company pack it for myself or better to pack it by myself? Any good or bad experience?

Re: I am out of patience!
I have been waiting since November 12th for an oscillating drum sander. This is why I always buy used form EBAY. I have been on hold for 45 minutes no one works at this company anymore. There is no way I would order a MArk 7 from them, I'd buy it second hand but this company has to be about finished...

Re: Idler drum on Belt sander loose
The entire drum moves when no belt is on can slide forward and back. I believe this is normal. So what I did was try and clean the idler drum. It has old grease in it. I did not take it down to pulling the shaft out in fear I would damage the spring. I used some PB BLASTER brand White Lithium grease...

Re: Belt Sander Idler Drum
gentlemen, I have watched Nick's Video and I am confused what end of the spring do you want to remove the Roll Pin to get the shaft to come out? The end that the Tension knob connects to?
I believe my unit just needs a good cleaning probably never been done.

Re: Thread locker on DC3300 Dust collector fan to motor bolt?
I wanted to fill everyone in on the Thread type on the motor. It is standard thread righty tighty lefty loosey! I had to put new seals on the newly acquired DC3300. This time the motor bolt came right off no real problem. I am thinking the previous owner of the first one I acquired used red thread l...

Idler drum on Belt sander loose
I purchased a used belt sander a year ago. I used it for several hours without issue with the belt it came with. I also purchased some non shopsmith belts and used a 120 grit for probably 2 hours. Now I have a problem. When i put a belt on and start the machine the tension knob pops and the belt los...
