Well, I answered my own question. I looked it up on the internet and and found that the 35 links are enough. I got my Shopsmith back together and it is running happily again. Thanks folks.

Using powertwist belt links for motor drive belt

Howdy folks. My motor drive belt broke on my Shopsmith and instead of buying the replacement belt Shopsmith sells I want to use a powertwist belt links. Would anyone know how many links I need? Thanks, Roger

Thanks for the info. The problem is that I don't have a speed control assembly in it right now. I had to take one it had in it out because the screw in it was bent. I'd post pics but I haven't figured that out yet. I am going to keep trying and I hope I figure it out. Thanks all for the links ...
