Re: Mark VII on loan

Okay, thank you. I will try the graphite. I tried 3 in 1 but it seemed to just run off.

Re: Mark VII on loan

I'm relatively certain that I've gotten everything lubricated according to the manual, but I was wondering what is the best way to keep the variable cam lubricated?

Thanks!

Re: Mark VII on loan

I found a couple more items last night. Obviously the one item is a drill chuck, is the other the arbor that the chuck fits?

Re: Mark VII on loan

Wow! Thanks so much. That's all great. I printed a copy of the manual and am trying to figure out how to ensure every part that should be lubricated is lubricated prior to plugging it in and turning it on.

Re: Turning game calls

Can a drill chuck be placed in the tailstock location and the head moved forward toward it, then extend the quill in order to drill the centers of pieces for game calls? Does that make sense? It seems that other wood lathes work in the opposite way...

Thanks!

Turning game calls

Are there any adapters made for the Mark VII that will allow me to use a collet chuck to hold a 5/8' expanding mandrel in order to turn game calls?

Thanks in advance!
