Re: New to the forum and shopsmith.

Glad to help. :) please post questions regarding the mechanical system in the "Maintenance and Repair" forum, "Beginners Woodworking" is actually for posting projects you/we have made. ;) Hey Ron, just caught my attention with that statement. I assumed the place to ask any newbi...

Re: Dad's Retirement Gift

That is outstanding, such creative artwork and a superb tribute to Dad . Top notch craftsmanship and realism. Certainly beyond my skill and abilities. That said, I can't help but be concerned that given the remarkable quality of that project that others who see it will run out and start trying to re...

Re: New Owner of a Mark V 510 with some questions

You mean over the wall.. ?

I do not have that answer. Is SS won't ship into Canada, they may have a relationship/agreement here that prevents them from shipping into the USA. I cannot be sure, best to call them.

Re: New Owner of a Mark V 510 with some questions

All-in-one is fantastic , he can get what you need for sure. I'm close enough to visit there personally but I am sure covering coast-to-coast shipments is easy for him. He has quite a lot of SS inventory on hand. I bought a coupler from him a few weeks ago. Give them a call. The eccentric tubes shou...

Re: Straightening 5' tubes

It has been my experience that when trying to make metal rods, tubing or wire curved, rollers do work well. Went trying to make something straight again with rollers it is very difficult. Not impossible, but if you don't have a continuous consistent bend to work with you'll be struggling to straight...

Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'

For anyone up in the frozen north this is a super deal by the looks of it. Had I not just bought my Mark mounted planer I’d be all over this. Not mine. Its located in ThunderBay ON, Canada. Ive lived there previously, somewhat remote. Hope someone from the forum community can grab this Pro Planer. S...

Re: Problem with the height control lever on the pin router

Of course you are correct Al. I don't know what happened the first time I tried it. Chalk it up to a senior moment. Sorry to add confusion to the issue but I guess I was the only one confused. :o This topic was a fantastic learning experience for all. I had no idea what a pin router was used ...

Re: Problem with the height control lever on the pin router

References to half turn once then half turn again and pull/pushing on the hub has me totally confused. What does the push/pulling do? What is the difference between 1/2 turn once and 1/2 turn twice as far as what they do? No I ain't gots one of these things :( . What does the end of the lever arm b...
