Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'
If I hadn't already spent my wad I'd be very interested in this one about an hour and a half drive north of Houston. Some assembly required! but not a bad collection for $500. 00t0t_a2JKQ2Dshp2_0CI0t2_1200x900.jpg https://collegestation.craigslist.org/tls/d/bryan-woodworking-tools/7186454960.html

Re: MV/500 Main Table Won't Align Square
All locks were secured, yes. Haven't had the table completely off yet; that's next.dusty wrote:You do have all of the locks secured, right? Are the trunnions (with the table off) parallel to one another? Asked another way: Do the trunnion bolts locate the corners of a parallelogram?

Re: MV/500 Main Table Won't Align Square
Have you had the mounting bolts completely out? Is it possible there is something(sawdust ...) in the trunion holes? Lastly are the mounting tubes bent? Are the trunion mounts installed correctly?(not sure how that could happen) Haven't had the mounting bolts out completely yet; will work on that t...

Re: MV/500 Main Table Won't Align Square
Are you moving the table rotational so the front moves in one direction and the back the opposite direction? Ed Yes. I first tried the trick of keeping one bolt tight and loosening the other three, but that didn't give enough adjustment. I then loosened all four bolts, tapping the back of the table...

MV/500 Main Table Won't Align Square
I noticed this when I first tried aligning the machine; see newbie post in "Beginning Woodworking" . I've tried working with the problem, but it's affecting the work which I recently did (creating a rip fence extension with featherboard slot dado). I want to see what I can do to correct it...

Re: Help Me Identify This Blade
Just priced a Forrest Woodworker II 40 tooth thin kerf bored to 1-1/4"...$166, plus tax and shipping. That's much too rich for my blood right now, although I have it on my 'wish list'. Does look like a beautiful blade, though.

Last Ones, I Promise...
I actually don't need help identifying these blades (I think!), but I'd like to hear more about recommended usages. 20200801_080303.jpg From the pictures in the Shopsmith manual, it appears that this first one is a 10" combination steel blade. It was mounted on the machine when I bought it and ...

Re: Two More at the Bottom of the Blade Box
Two more blades I'd like to ask about. One looks to be a 28-tooth steel blade, the other a 24 tooth carbide blade. What is their intended purpose and what should I use them for (after they're properly sharpened, of course)? 20200727_165739.jpg They are both rip blades. I would not bother with the s...
