I stopped in for the Peoria, AZ demo last Saturday. Smooth machine, smooth salesman. I really enjoyed it.

I think he spots the owners quick based on pretty good odds. There were probably 12 of us watching, 10 of us were owners. Smart guy, he takes time with the wives questions and treats them well ...

5/32 T-Handle Allen w/ PC Dovetail Jig

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened my new Porter Cable Dovetail Jig to find this nice 5/32 T-Handle Allen wrench included; it fits the Shopsmith perfectly. I have the long L-shaped one that came with my SS. This has a nicer feel and should be easier to find if I absentmindedly set down it ...

I know older GFCI's were not good with motor loads and a good percentage of them were simply bad off the shelf. The NEC code body now believes modern products are up to the task and require them in garages.

I agree that replacement of the GFCI recept or breaker with new should be the first step ...

I've spent much less time in the shop than I thought I would. Summer is always brutal here, but I thought I'd work through it. It wasn't too long ago that I was on construction sites, working under the fierce summer sun of Phoenix. Now, I guess I'm softened by a few years behind a desk; it's waaaay ...

It's direct drive, no belts. It screams like a circular saw. Isn't that fairly normal?

That's a slick set-up alright. Down the road perhaps. I need too many other tools first.

I'm on the hunt for a PC Dovetail machine next.

Should I sell my Table Saw?

Since I bought my Shopsmith earlier this year, I haven't used my standalone table saw. Of course I haven't braved much time in the garage due to the inferno of Phoenix in summer, so I don't have a feel for full, start-to-finish, large scale projects with only the Shopsmith tablesaw.

I have a nice ...
