Re: SS Stainless Steel Fastener Upgrade Kit Review
I use fastenal to find replacements, usually they sell smaller quantity. I needed the pin that holds the spring in place for retracting the quill. SS price for one was $7.95 with shipping. Got 50 from fastenal for $7.00. Of course that is a lifetime of need, but I could not bring my self to pay $7.9...

Re: Will a SS Mark 7 Carriage Fit/Work on a Mark 5?
If you look on ebay or craigslist you probably can find a carriage that will fit make sure it is from a 510 or 520. It will be cheaper than what you can get one from shopsmith. You can often find shorty models complete with a headstock for 250 to $300.

I would like to go to the bearing supplier with the ntn number for the bearings I need. I would like to change the quill bearing, one has two bearings and another quill the singl...

Re: Dead power pro power supply?
I think since covid closed much down including SS. If you owned this 21/2 years now in March It should have been covered under the two year warranty. What is ridiculous is that you will have to spend money to send the headstock in when you could just receive a new electronic board and repair yoursel...

Re: Quill Assembly drive Screw broken, is it worth Fixing?
I know this is an old problem, according to the shopsmith parts list they charge $4.95 for this part. Doing some home work found this part for $5.00 for 50. I drilled out the middle of the sheared off "screw"and used a screw extractor to clear out the hole. Drove in a new fastener and it s...
