Looks like a GREAT deal! However, I do not have a Hook disk on my disc. I guess I will need to be on the hunt for one.

I found a couple of old adhesive backed discs. Is there anything I should know in getting them to stick to my steel disc?

Quality of SS lathe chisels

My recent purchase of a Mark V did not have some of the accessories. Now I am on the hunt for lathe chisels. Are the quality of the SS lathe chisels considered good, or would a good set of Craftsman or some other make of chisels be as good an investment?

Spherical Washer placement?

Guys, I have tried to watch Sawdust Session #24 with care. I am still not 100% sure where the spherical washer (Nick calls it a "domed" washer) is supposed to be. Does it make contact with the quill feed sleeve or does it go between the pinions and the fingers coming down from the headstoc...

Thanks guys!! Job is complete. The set screw on the fan sheeve was loose. Runs like a top now. There is actually a hole in the bottom of the headstock to tighted or loosen the set screw with your long allen wrench.

Happy Easter All!! He is Risen!!

Fan sheave scraping the motor

Guys, I am tearing apart my Mark V. When I first gave it a test run, it made a scraping noise. It looks like the fan sheave is making contact with the motor plate. Any thoughts on what to do while it is completely apart?

?? Too buy a Biscuit Joiner or Mortise attachment ??

Guys, please help me out. My tool budget only allows me to buy:

A) SS biscuit joiner

or

B) SS mortise attachment

What would you buy and why?

Thanks!
