I echo the previous comments. I was trying to figure out what the gen 1 to 2 upgrade parts are... So, I am guessing the gen 2 is just a new touch screen style. For me, that's not enough to make the upgrade worth it. I guess the USB interface (hopefully with a dust cover) would be handy for updates. ...

David, Good idea using the floating table to protect the control panel. I was wondering how I would protect it. Quick enough to set up, protects the panel, and expands the bandsaw table.

Last month I was using the bandsaw on my Power Pro and the cut-off dropped off the back of the table and punched a hole in the face of the control panel (pic. attached).
