A 510 with a bandsaw and joiner for $50 is a fantastic deal. Tailstocks are all interchangeable. You will want a 12" sanding disc, it is one of the best features of a Shopsmith.

It's not limited to just turning but can be used with larger Drill Bits, think Forsner, which slows them down to avoid burning.
