Ahhhh, thanks so much! I could not figure out what was wrong. I thought initially, perhaps the main casting should be flipped, but the way I had it seemed to match the manuals. I would have never got that. Now I know what a trunion is!

For the serial number. We removed the shopsmith plate when we painted the body. During removal, the drill slipped and damaged a bit of the plate.
