I have four – 30”x10”x1/4” tempered glass. Somewhere I saw a way to suspend these using one or two hardwood strips but can’t find anything on the internet.
It would be somewhat like this picture.

Disc Sander Loosens
Older aluminum disc. I tighten the set screw and tweak it thrice but it loosens. The setscrew is flat bottomed in good condition. Suggestions? I have different set screws.

Set Screw Advice
Prepping 510 to give to son. Is there any reason I wouldn't put putty/clay in the set screw on the silver knurled knob?

"Just hover over the blue line at the bottom of the post and you can see the link."
I guess the blue line I can't see disappeared when it was deleted? Is that the clue we should look for?

Re: Drought in the West
Saw on news tonight that blowing winds had created huge sand dunes more than 8feet high in the OK Panhandle. There has been no rain there since August. Another dust bowl?

Re: HDPE or Masonite for zero clearance insert?
I picked up some "thrown away" laminate flooring a few years ago. I sometimes see a box really cheap at a thrift store. one too wide long strip cut for easy sanding. I used the disc sander, vertical to get the right width. Then cut the width to size and then the ends, holes drilled and tap...
