Re: Share your Magna memorabilia!

Magna-Line Table Saw Inserts Some time ago in this thread, I mentioned the difficulty of finding accessories - especially in-box accessories - for systems that sold poorly. Re: Heads Up - Bargain 'available'

1954 Mark 5 with Jigsaw (motor issues?) - $55 - Central NY

Odd description from the seller (they’re selling for parts), but I’d bet the motor issue is an easy fix…

Re: Help with Deciding

Wow, you’ve got some great choices here! I think you’ve also gotten some thoughtful advice about the 520 vs. the Mark 7. Commenting on this offering: https://forum.shopsmith.com/viewtopic.php?p=322219#p322219 …the matching Model 10 ERs, I’d concur that the nearly $1000 asking price would be better s...

Re: Share your Magna memorabilia!

Mark VII Era SPT Owner’s Manual I recently picked up a Model 620 jointer Owner’s Manual, this one from the Magna American Corporation days. Initially I didn’t think it was anything noteworthy - I’ve seen plenty of Magna American-branded manuals, as they continued to manufacture and sell SPTs with t...

For that matter, it’s not even a 10E! Not with that stubby style pivot base and such a high serial number…

At least they got “Shop smith” [almost] right! :D

Re: Where to Find People in the San Franciso Bay Area Interested ShopSmith Model ER?

Happy ending. The ShopSmith has found a new owner, thanks to jpdalton and anyone else who posted my inquiry to the ShopSmith Facebook group. I am so glad it will be put to use. Ed Wells That’s such good news to hear! I appreciate your recognition - good to know that I may have helped in a small way...

Re: Pleasant surprise included with my last order

Ordered an adjustable stop collar & received this along with it. It’s just a mini bottle but thought it was a nice gesture. The Titebond folks brought a boatload of those to Dayton as giveaways for last year’s Makers Event at Shopsmith headquarters. I imagine there were some leftovers that are ...
