Based on the chart I had linked previously in this thread, it should have been made somewhere during 1951. Enjoy the rest of the project!

Re: Gallery of Restorations

1953 Model 10ER Serial Number 92227 This was a very quick restoration project, due to the fact that the machine was in pretty good shape to start. It had some surface rust on the bench ends to deal with, but minor enough to avoid a paint job even there. Also the plating on the quill depth gauge and...

Total Shop w/ SPTs in NH

Not sure whether any of this is compatible with a Shopsmith, but it comes with bandsaw, jointer, belt sander. Asking is $200, but I’m guessing a successful “best offer” could be a lot less…

Lost One of Our Great Contributors

I received word today that one of our very good contributors, edma194 (“Ed from Rhode Island”) passed away last weekend. I had the pleasure of meeting Ed a number of times - we bought some machines from each other, and socialized at last year’s Makers event at Shopsmith HQ. For some background on hi...

Re: Gallery of Restorations

If you can post pictures of the Bench Ends, I would appreciate seeing the differences. Here are some pics to illustrate the comparison. . IMG_6045.jpeg . The older bench leg (original to my recently restored 10E) has the original sticker and no holes for caster assemblies. The three main holes in t...

Re: Gallery of Restorations

Defiantly more original than the many I have painted to make them look pretty. “Defiantly more original…” - I like that!! I think it has a catchy corporate name in there… Defiantly Original Restorations Established 2025 I see you added the Shopsmith Logo to the Bench End. Nice touch as some Bench E...

Re: Gallery of Restorations

1948 Model 10E - Serial Number E-8461 I’ve seen an unusually high number of “free to a good home” offers in my neck of the woods recently, and this is one of those. It was all disassembled in the owner’s garage, which made for easy transport, but there was a lot of work needed to get this one in us...

Re: Share your Magna memorabilia!

Magna-Line Table Saw Inserts Some time ago in this thread, I mentioned the difficulty of finding accessories - especially in-box accessories - for systems that sold poorly. Case in point is the Mark 2 . Despite many years of diligent collecting, I've only found one example of a Mark 2-specific acce...

1954 Mark 5 with Jigsaw (motor issues?) - $55 - Central NY

Odd description from the seller (they’re selling for parts), but I’d bet the motor issue is an easy fix…
