never had a manual for mine.
It's pretty simple, alot more so than a mark 5.
There's a setscrew that holds in the quill, and the 2 top screws under the pulley are all that keep the drive shaft and bearings in the housing.
Real simple.

I have a brownie/goldie casting that you're welcome to for the shipping.
They don't weigh much. I would rather give it away than see it get melted down for scrap!

Just because I like to overbuild certain things, I had Skip Campbell from MKCtools.com build me a 2 bearing quill for my 56 Greenie restoration. I like it.
I'm leaving the gilmer drive, and just cleaned and went through the clutches.
my 32 cents worth.

Thanks Brad, I am speechless.
If I was well off, I would buy that and hang it in my living room.
What a beauty.

So, I'll be the devils advocate here....(it's what I do), Why go to the trouble to make them out of plastic, when a forum member here has already improved the originals by making them out of aluminum instead of plastic... which were famous for breaking. Honestly, if I were to restore or repair a MAR...

4) Check to see if the set screw is loose causing the knob to slip on the shaft(turns the outer dial without actually moving the shaft////sheaves). and to take that great advice a little deeper.. Pull it off and look at the shaft where the set screw seats, the can they get gouged out real bad somet...
