Received the new chuck yesterday, works great with no perceivable wobble!

Yes. 0.61 inch. I assume that is unusual. ID plate for reference.

Very! 0.015 too small. May be the source of wobble.

How/where in the shaft did you measure it and with what.

As far as I can tell visually, the shaft is true. I measured it over the exposed length. No taper from what I can tell ...

10ER chuck wobble

I have a 10ER that I'd like to know a little more about the standard chuck setup. I'm not sure the one on it is quite right and it currently has about a 1/8" wobble at the end of a drill bit on the No 14 chuck. The shaft on mine measures 0.61", which a sleeve attached to the chuck goes on. From what ...
