PS If you come up with another $1500 I would like to solve my clamp problem once and for all. I'll spend the entire amount on an assortment of clamps. I might even have to throw in some mad money to augment that figure. This is great! Just like Norm would say, you can never have to many clamps! :D

Thunderbird Bowl

This bowl is made of 262 pieces of Cherry, Walnut, Spanish Cherry, and Pecan. It stands about 7" tall and is 7.5" wide. I made this bowl because my Father told me he always wanted to try to make a thunderbird bowl and thought it would be a good way to mark the first year he has been gone. ...

wast block

I don't own a chuck so I use a face plate and MDF for the wast block. I use a lot of MDF this way.. I use paper bags and tightbond glue. I must remount several times but find it's not that hard.

Where do you get 200 - 240 cuebic inches of ash? How do you design a urn to make sure it will hold all the ashes? A good Idea do sell turnings if you can meet the vol demands.

If you like to make bowls and are not up to speed with lathe tools, try a ringmaster attached to your SS. I love mine and find it comes in handy for making rings quickly. check into it! I don't think I've seen a single post about it:rolleyes:
