Re: 520 upgrade or?

Ed in Tampa wrote: Model 510 and model 520 are the same size! The only difference between the two are the fence rails and how they lock to the fence tubes and the fence itself. Frankly in my opinion the 510 fence had a superior locking method to the 520 fence. Not as fast since you had to twist the ...

Re: 520 upgrade or?

RFGuy Could be. I know there are "lemons" as well as exceptional with anything manufactured as well as improvements as time goes on. I may have just been blessed with a good one, I don't know my only experience is with one but I'm very happy with it and don't think that the 510 fence was a...

Re: 520 upgrade or?

The 510 is a good system. I really can't figure out the statement Ed from Tampa keeps making. His opinions and experience are certainly not mine or many others.I have both a 510 and now have a 520 also. The 510 is just as accurate and reliable. It's smaller but in using it it's just as reliable. The...

Re: Window surround

Great Job! Good idea taking pictures of the assembly process. I never think of taking pictures until something is done. Looks super. I love the way Red Oak plywood looks. Red Oak ply wood is what I used also. I too scored with a utility knife before I dadoed. Kind of a pain but necessary after tryin...

Re: forrest blade vs ?

I cried once and bought a forest blade a few years ago and was amazed at the difference it made. About a year ago I bought Ridge Carbide on the recommendation of Stumpy Nubs with his promo discount and cried a bit less. Now I'm not crying at all. I would have to be real desperate to buy a non premiu...

Re: Comfortable using the table saw?

I'm 6'2" my wife is 5'2", I love the height of the table saw, especially if I have a lot of cutting to do. My back doesn't scream at me. The lathe is too low for me. I like to play with the lathe but my back hates it. My wife struggles with the the height of the saw and doesn't use the lat...

Re: GFCI protected circuits

I'm running 20A GFCIs and this happens to me on different circuits, so I can't just blame one breaker.

By the way paulrussell has the best icon, avatar, symbol, or what ever. (except now I can't get the tune out of my head)
