Re: New Shopsmith DC-6000 Dust Collector

I ordered the upgrade kit based on the sale flyer email. Didn't think at the time of all the questions posed in this thread, but glad the information about it finally came to light. My upgrade kit is on backorder, so the initial batch sold out very quickly. Looking forward to hearing more informatio...

Re: Powerpro Competitor

I wouldn't say the waters are totally uncharted. It's still the same Striatech motor and control system sold online, with a warranty, so there is that going for it. Uncharted waters to me would be more like those who retrofit treadmill motors to their SS. The dvrplus+ is where Shopsmith should be to...

Re: Powerpro Competitor

Definitely interested to see how this turns out. I'm looking to pull the trigger on an upgrade soon, but may hold off for the dvrplus+.

Re: CFP National Championship Game

John, If you haven't already, you should plan a trip to Dayton for two reasons. Shopsmith HQ is here and also the National Museum of the US Air Force. Not only do they have a U2 and an SR71, but a B1, B2, B52, F22, F35, and an F117, and tons and tons of other planes from the Wright Brothers, WW1 an...

Re: New Shelix head for my DW735

I just picked up a Pro Planer in excellent condition from eBay last week for only $375. At that price I am seriously thinking of the Shelix upgrade since the existing blades already have a nick that needs to be fixed. I haven't seen any install videos anywhere so I may do one in a few months when I'...

Adobe Flash use on websites generally will kick a computer's CPU and it's graphics processors into a higher processing mode which will drive temperature up.

You can tell FB to not show ads like that as well so hopefully they won't continue showing them. I got the same ad today and told FB to stop.

Fred, you said it took you 10 hours, but would you call it challenging? I'm looking to do a DIY PowerPro upgrade when I have a chance.

Also, did you install your AC unti yourself? I'd like to do something like that to my garage.
