Should I put the speed control back in on slow or fast. Is the quadrant open or shut when installing? that's the question

I believe the motor belt is jammed between the control sheave and the idler sheave. This occurs when the sheaves open fully(or too far) and the belt drops down. What do you guys cover your machine with? I live in Oregon and it's very damp. if I put a cloth sheet over my machine but the moisture wicks on it. If I put plastic, moisture will build up underneath so what do you guys use to cover your machine with?

I've been looking for a quill wrench for my shopsmith 510 does anybody have any advice to get one.?

I'm having a problem with my speed control assembly. I can't get it in there flush. It keeps hitting the pulley arbor and will not sit flush. Does anybody have any ideas or what I'm doing wrong???
