This is all extremely helpful and appreciated. I can’t wait to get to work learning more about this. I took some pics of what came with it. Some pieces are broken. I know my wife’s grandpa used it a lot and had a great workshop in his garage. I’m glad to add this and start building mine.

That’s what I was starting to think after reading through this site. It runs fine. Is it easy to find parts? I am not looking to sell it, but is it something I should look to restore? I like those types of projects and plan on using it.

I have recently been given my wife’s grandpas shopsmith. In reading through a few posts to try to figure out how old it is and what parts I have and/or are missing, I noticed it may be an older serial number - 3068. It’s a model 10E. Is there a way to determine age based on the serial number?
