Re: ss-woodcraft demo

I know there have been complaints about shipping in the past. I ordered the universal tool rest from Dave last Saturday afternoon and it arrived at my door Friday afternoon.

ss-woodcraft demo

I was able to attend the shopsmith demo at the woodcraft store in St. Louis last weekend. Dave Folkerth was the presenter. He is very knowledgeable about all things Shopsmith and took the time to answer all my questions. Thanks again Dave.

Re: Router Quick-change Collet

I've had one on a PC 7539 for several years and really like it. Recently bought one at Rockler store for a PC690 that's on the Jointmatic. They work great.

The GRR-ripper offers great control on narrow rip cuts. It's not cheap but is very well-made.

Thanks for the advice. I might be able to get wood from a dead tree that fell. Fred has inspired me to try some bowls.

The quality of Starrett squares is outstanding. Maybe you could find someone that has one to compare to.

I have a newer 6" Empire that is decent quality.

Seems that David DeChristoforo is set screw challenged. The whole world is held together by set screws and o-rings. My last job was rebuilding pumps. Many of the main parts used set screws. They rarely came loose.
