Is there a location to oil the shaft on the 3/4 hp motor?
If so, I can't find it.
I have removed the nut and te sprint and the 1/2 sheave from the shaft and I still can't find any kind of hole to oil the shaft.
This is unfortunate, because I can hear the metal grinding as the shaft turns.

Serial Number
My shopsmith is a Mark V. My serial number is 262287 .
It says "Magna Engineering Corp."
This does not seem to fit into the listing of serial numbers though. It is before the 1954 serial numbers start.

You can still trip the main breaker in your house without trooping any others.
As for moisture, it does create some, but around here if it is cold enough to fire it up, it is usually pretty dry anyway.
