@beeg there was very little rust on the headstock poles but much more on the saw table poles. I was more interested in method to lube the poles. Thanks

To everyone else thanks for the help and the links. I am not going to completely refurb it, but it helps knowing how to.

I finally got it arranged in the garage and now I want to do some clean up and preventative maintenance, so I am looking for suggestions on what I need to do. Niether are for the ER, they are both for later models (so the speeds are in letters not pulley positions). They were my wifes dads so I will have to check with her (that whole sentimental thing you know).

Wow thanks for the info. That all helps tremendously. I have 2 copies of that book that was in a box of stuff that came with my 10ER, both for later models.
