RE: Renaissance Wax

6 or 7 years from now when you use it all the time and you still have half a jar, you'll forget how much it cost.

Re: Fluffy shavings and 3300

That's exactly the issue. If I stop frequently and poke around on the filter bag I can knock the shavings down into the bag. But, as soon as I turn it on, you can see the turbulence pushing them back up into the filter bag, where they pack up on top of the motor housing and the impellor. I may play ...

Re: Fluffy shavings and 3300

I think I have the owner's manual. I'll see if I can track down a date. Having lived with both of them for a couple years, I don't consider the change an "upgrade". I'm a little surprised at the lack of recognition. First design must have only lasted a couple years.

Re: Fluffy shavings and 3300

I actually have two DC-3300s, one of the early, steel housing units (3300) and one of the plastic housing units (3300-2). The 3300-2 has the optional 4" inlet. I'll add some pictures of them side-by-side tonight. I like the 3300 for what it is, but we all have to accept what it isn't. It is not...

Fluffy shavings and 3300

I have a 3300 with the factory 4" inlet and the middle-sized (24") filter. I'm using it with an INCA 10" combination jointer/planer. The fluffy planer shavings end up packing up on top of the impeller body in the filter bag, instead of down in the plastic bag. This happens no matter h...

Re: DC-3300 Seal Failure

I was recently in the market for a used DC-3300. On inspecting the first one that I found, I turned it on and dust started blowing out the motor vent area. I pulled the filter bag off and scratched my head at the design, as the seals were completely disintegrated and non-existent. I passed. On doing...

Re: Woodpeckers MORTY - loose tenon router jig

There are no detents to locate the angle of the mortise. In the owner's manual we show the procedure to use a square against the key that turns the template.

Re: Woodpeckers Exact-90 Miter Gauge

I'll share this with the product engineer tomorrow and report back. Other than possibly being just a little too thick, I think it is going to work.
