Oliver tilting table saw

This in non-shopsmith related, apologies if it's unacceptable and please delete the post if it is, but I found the pictures interesting and more than a little intimidating.

Re: Late xmas gift for my best friend

That and she thinks everyday is Christmas. Good eye, picking up on the Eurekazone, I have a love/hate relationship with it, mostly around work piece holding, but I make do.

Re: Late xmas gift for my best friend

Thanks. The wood is white oak. The legs and skirt joinery is dowels, it was my first time using the jessem dowel jig I treated myself to. The top will be attached with figure eight fasteners once they come in.

The design is largely based on free plans from thewoodwhisperer.com site.

Late xmas gift for my best friend

Needs a couple more coats of finish and I'm waiting for the figure eight clips to attach the top to come in, but all in all a good use of some leftover wood.

Norm and his shopsmith

I found this enjoyable both for nostalgia and seeing a shop full of mostly attainable tools.

Re: bandsaw stalling

The additional block of wood against the fence short of the blade and some vegetable oil did the trick! I didn't have canola spray handy but it's now on the grocery list.
Thanks everyone!
