The floor is Shaw laminate in hickory. got it on sale for $.99/sq.ft. The shop has been up for 3 month, alot of use from it, moving the SS around and it hasn't shown any scratches yet. parts missed me. yes the set screw was seated on the shaft not the keyway. now I need the c-clip and washer. atleast the SS is nice and clean... pulled the motor to take the sheaves apart, really gummed up in there. yes I forgot to lock the headstock before...learning curve:)

found the problem.... who ever took it apart last didn't have the keyway into the stationary sheave. Since I was home alone working on it, I tried to put it together myself. Well I had everything together but forgot to triple check the c-clip....as you can imagine what happen next, parts went flying ...

I hope it's the set screw came loose. I'll look at tearing into it this weekend. I'm going to drywall and insulate the new work shop this weekend, most of the electrical is in except the service.

thanks for the info on the floating sheave. do you know what size hole i need to drill in the wood? the brass you see is just an optical illusion with the lighting and the flash. thanks again
