Bill, the woodworking book that I got with the machine said to use the quill to make fine adjustments to get the blade where i need it with for the right cuts. but if that is a bad idea ill just adjust the fence next time.

my quill keeps backing off
i recently purchased a MARK V 500 and a bunch of accessories.
