Thanks for the confidence booster. The machine is actually in excellent shape. All the fences, attachements are there, and found the manual. What I meant was, there is more there than I will ever use since my hobbies are more in metal working. But it is a nice addition to my other tools. I will down...

I have to assume the Shopsmith came with the jointer mounted to it. The shopsmith will have a sn(or date code) mounted either on the perforated vent plate around the idler(lower) shaft or a 'sticker' also mounted to the belt cover(left end).
