Also at Wally Mart today and got some cutting boards, thanks for that heads up too.
Sorry about the confusion, I swear I saw "5/8" there, or did you do a fast Edit on us? :)

Thanks Ed. I realize that the classes are not taught that way now, Dusty.

Re: Traveling Academy

Thank you for the input, Larry. I will make my mind up by the end of the day. Hopefully a spot will still be open.

Traveling Academy

So, just got an email to register for the upcoming Traveling Academy in Denver. Is it worth the $99? Would it be more in depth than a demo? I'm thinking yes cuz it's 7 hours of class!

Re: Today in your shop (mason bee house anyone?)

I got my pieces cut out using the previous dimensions. I actually had 7 1/4"x 3/4" and 5 1/2"x 3/4". Lucky me. I'm waiting on my 1/4" router chuck right now. I might try to come up with a jig in the mean time so I can use my handheld router.

Re: 50th Anniversary Mark V question

I too only have a white sticker on the front. Would much rather have a more permanent identification location like on the aluminum plate cover.

The "wood" is sanded to 12k grit. Then applied a few coats of CA thin and sanded that to 12k grit.
