I do a fair amount of scrolling. For years I've sprayed the back of the pattern with an adhesive, usually 3M 77. But I've always had issues with removing the patterns from the work. I put together a completely unscientific experiment with off-cuts. The clamps were on about 6 hours. The BLO was on the stock overnight. Titebond II. For my application it appears to work just fine. Lucky me.

Does any know, from practical experience, if stock with a coat of boiled linseed oil can be glued. The mating piece has no finish. Thanks for reading.

Over the years I've not used this feature but once or twice. But I've got a project now where I drilling for set screws on a wooden gear clock. What a wonderful feature!!!
