Re: Mark VII a start and a long ways to go..
Love the old school pencil sharpener attached to the work bench. I'm not sure about the switch noises, they are noisy as the fwd/Rev interlock plate is striking the stop when you turn the key, then there are other sounds when pressing the buttons, and the buttons can rattle a bit as they aren't real...

The internal sliding plates and contacts for these switches is really complex. My contacts on a couple terminals were worn to a point where I was getti...

Re: Mark VII Impeller
I have the exact same issue with mine. The groove on the motor shaft that the snap ring fits into is worn on mine which allows the snap ring to work it's way out. I ran the motor and used a needle file to clean up the groove and make the edges somewhat square again. I also switched from a snap ring ...

Re: Mark VII a start and a long ways to go..
Nice work Mike, steady progress. FYI, if you just slightly bevel the top of the board under the brackets to have slight inward slope it will rotate the bracket and pull the center of the bracket holes in the 1/16" you're looking for. You actually may be able to achieve this by adjusting how tig...
