I totally agree Ed. I picked up 3 Oldham carbide blades a few years ago for $10 each. I use them for questionable wood and just general sawing. I use my Forrest blades for the precision work.

A radial arm saw should never be used fully extended and then retracted to cut the board. It should always be used retracted and pulled across the board to cut. Cool! For $9 it is worth a try. As you said how will they hold up. That will determine the worth.

I am getting closer. Got the aux table top done today except for the fence rail. It is soaking in Evaporust. So the only thing left is the main table top and it's fence rail.
