Re: I was given a Mark VII by a friend....

The racks can be 3d printed too, :) Link to the file on the Facebook Shopsmith Owners Group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/684461538311971/permalink/1671709626253819 I don't do Facebook/Lifelog LOL. Is there a link to download that file, or better yet, like the cam, is there anyone who is printin...

Re: I was given a Mark VII by a friend....

Is it worth getting running? Absolutely. In my opinion, the 60's Mark VII is the best designed and easiest to use SS ever made. With the 7 modes of operations like the new Mark 7 (which I own so I have a fair compairison) it is a goto machine for me 50% of the time. If it had the speed range and pow...

Re: Possible Problems

I did every thing I know how to do and never felt like I had resolved either the issue of being "kicked back to login" OR the very slow Shopsmith Forum. I sent a PM to admin highlighting the issues and yesterday began seeing major improvement. I don't know if this had anything to do with ...

Re: Possible Problems

I am trying this post to see if I am coming back.... Is your navigation back to normal, Dick? The site is generall...

Re: Model 10E... worth it?

IMO, the 10E(x) machines are some of the best ShopSmith unit available. The newer ones are more powerful, have bigger tables (Later Mark V's and 7's) and will handle the SPT's (Special Purpose Tools like Belt sanders, Scroll saws, planers, jointers, etc), but the 10Ex's will do very precision work a...

Re: Shopsmith Master Tenon Jig

I agree with both of these guys. I acquired mine through a "package" purchase as well and would probably never have purchased it on my own, but am glad I have it. It is astoundingly precise (with good setup) for making tenons, but I also use it as a sled for making keys in the corners of m...

Re: What's so great about the Shopsmith 10E's & 10ER's anyway?

Well .... LOL I use my 10ER(s) for a lot of things. I do a lot of table saw work on small parts (drawer sides, posts, lids) where you don't need a lot of power, but need accurate adjustability. The quill adjustment is just outstanding in moving the quill (saw blade) a few thousands at time as is the...
