Re: Tablesaw Power feed

I like the idea of hands free feed and controlled speed feed . Seems the best way to avoid an injury is not have your hands on the saw at all ! That said- those jessem guides look really nice-and it seems many of you like the added safety you have gotten with them. I posted mostly as I hadn't seen a...

Tablesaw Power feed

I'd been thinking about something like this for safety reasons...low and behold they already exist ! Here is a low cost kit to provide motor feed to a tablesaw/router or shaper. Anyone have experience with something like this? I'd guess they get in the way for non standard cuts, or in this case mayb...

Re: it's a shallop

Wooden ship building is a wonder to me. yesterday my cat put his front paws on something I had built and broke the top off it haha.
Its a long way from that to making a seaworthy wooden object !

Re: Went shopping today

Theres a guy in my neighborhood with 150 bft of old barn pine-looks nice. Its 4"+ x 1"+ by various lengths...I am so tempted due to the price of wood right now...but my wallet seems to be missing the $150 he wants for it.

Bandsaw goes from quick fix to Costly upgrade

Well, I found I was having trouble getting straight cuts on resaw with the bandsaw. The blade was turning out away from the fence halfway thru the cuts. The blades I had came from previous owner and were categorized as "good"..but to be honest I didn't know if they were good or bad..so i w...

A couple small projects

I haven't been very motivated to get down in the shop lately, though I had obtained a Wen Spindle sander to help with some holiday decorations. I sent one to my mother for Christmas, and she turns around and puts in an order for 10 more for her friends :) Just using a WWOA template and a compound cu...

Re: Which tool do you USE the most

1. TableSaw
2. Bandsaw
3. DrillPress/Jointer (project dependent)
4. Horizontal boring
5. Seldom router/shaper (have a separate setup for this)
6. Hardly ever sanding disks
7. Never Lathe
